All Practitioners are Key People.

Key Persons

Is the person you feel most comfortable talking to about any issues, whether development or personal. This person will only pass on development information about your child to the Key Worker.  You choose your Key Person.

Key Persons;

  • Visit families at home if requested.
  • Understand family ‘make-up’ and interests.
  • Gather information about the child and family.
  • Build relationships and attachments with the children and families.
  • Recognise children and families interests.
  • Pass relevant information to Key Workers.
  • Exchange daily information with families.
  • Inform parents/carers of progress and changes in behaviour etc.
     

Key Workers

Deal with the child's development i.e. file, end of month sheets, observing and recording and planning to their interests.  We choose your child's Key Worker, according to children's sessions/days and staff working hours/days.

Key Workers;

  • Are assigned a group of children.
  • Visit families at home if requested.
  • Understand family ‘make-up’ and interests.
  • Gather information about the child and family.
  • Build relationships and attachments with the children and families.
  • Recognise children and families interests.
  • Recognise group interests.
  • Plan activities for Key Group.
  • Do individual child observations.
  • Record individual progress.
  • Exchange daily information with families.
  • Inform parents/carers of progress and changes in behaviour etc.
